New Delhi, August 13, 2026: IAN Angel Fund, the evergreen fund of IAN Group, has led a ₹4 crore funding round in Invisel, a nanotechnology-based home surface protection brand, alongside BeyondSeed, with participation from FAAD Capital. The investment marks Invisel’s first external funding round following a period of bootstrapped growth during which the company established a profitable business and built a customer base of more than 60,000 across India.
Founded by Atharva Ulangwar, Founder and CEO, and Sumedh Yeolekar, Co-founder and CMO, Invisel is developing a consumer-focused category around preventive surface care. Its range of invisible protective coatings is designed to help protect household surfaces from stains, hardwater marks and everyday wear, reducing the need for frequent cleaning and helping extend the usable life of treated materials.
The company’s origins lie in Ulangwar’s experience working with industrial nanocoating’s. He identified an opportunity to adapt advanced surface-protection formulations for everyday consumers, particularly homeowners dealing with recurring issues such as stained bathroom glass, marble discoloration and upholstery damage.
Invisel has developed products that can be applied by consumers without specialized professional expertise. Its coatings are designed for surfaces including glass, marble, tiles, fabric, leather and metal, with a typical application lasting between six and 12 months, depending on the product and surface.
Building a Consumer Category Around Preventive Care
Since beginning commercial operations, Invisel has served more than 60,000 customers across more than 900 PIN codes and generated ₹5.2 crore in revenue during FY2026 while remaining profitable and operating without external capital. In addition to its direct-to-consumer business, the company works with institutional partners, including original equipment manufacturers in the furniture sector, and provides professional application services across multiple cities.
The company believes the home-care market is evolving beyond conventional cleaning and maintenance as consumers increasingly invest in premium homes, interiors and durable materials. Invisel aims to position surface protection as a preventive step that complements, rather than replaces, traditional cleaning and maintenance.
“Our objective has always been to take advanced surface science beyond industrial applications and make it accessible to everyday consumers. We built the business organically, serving more than 60,000 customers while remaining profitable, and this investment gives us the opportunity to accelerate in the next phase. We will expand our manufacturing and R&D capabilities, strengthen our formulation science, broaden our distribution and build awareness around preventive surface care. Our long-term ambition is to establish Invisel as a leading global brand in nano-based surface protection,” said Atharva Ulangwar, Founder and CEO, Invisel.
Sumedh Yeolekar, Co-founder and CMO, Invisel, said, “We are creating a category centered on protecting surfaces before damage occurs. Consumers have traditionally been encouraged to clean, repair or replace products after they deteriorate. We see an opportunity to shift that behaviour towards prevention. Our focus is to make surface protection simple, accessible and relevant to everyday households while building a brand that can define this emerging category.”
Investment to Accelerate Manufacturing and Innovation
The newly raised capital will be deployed towards establishing a dedicated manufacturing and research facility in Pune, strengthening materials-science capabilities and accelerating product development. Invisel also plans to invest in advanced research, intellectual property and formulation development as it expands its product portfolio.
The company intends to introduce five new product categories and expand its professional application network from three cities to 12. It also plans to establish its first international presence in the United Arab Emirates later this year, while evaluating further opportunities across international markets.
The company expects to strengthen its teams across research, manufacturing, sales and marketing as it scales its operations and distribution network across online and offline channels.
Invisel’s integrated operating model combines in-house formulation and manufacturing with multiple routes to market, including e-commerce, institutional partnerships and professional application services. The company sees this model as a key component of its strategy to build a scalable consumer brand around surface protection.

The investment adds Invisel to the portfolio of IAN Angel Fund, an early-stage investment platform focused on supporting companies with the potential to build scalable businesses across emerging categories.
