Background-
HCLTech has struck a global alliance with Anthropic to launch a dedicated business unit focused on agentic AI products powered by Claude for large enterprise customers. The company shared the news in a stock exchange filing.
The Noida-based firm aims to guide businesses in adopting agentic AI, meaning systems that finish tasks with little human input, while placing safety, cybersecurity and governance at the core.
The unit will house a center of excellence that designs agentic AI solutions and offers clients secure testing environments, with HCLTech’s forward deployed engineers helping deploy Claude. Its teams will also create industry-specific solutions using Claude, Cowork and Claude Code, and will train client staff to run agentic AI safely at scale.
HCLSoftware, which now serves as an Anthropic independent software vendor partner, will build Claude into chosen products spanning cybersecurity, automation, business process applications and application development, including HCL BigFix and HCL AppScan.
HCLTech will bring Claude and Claude Code to AIForce, its agentic software engineering platform. The platform will handle IT support, code fixes and digital employee services, backed by policy controls and human review for high-impact changes.
Anthropic co-founder and president Daniela Amodei said the company builds Claude so businesses can trust AI with their most valuable and sensitive work. She noted that HCLTech already manages such systems for banks, hospitals, telecom operators and manufacturers, and said Anthropic is excited to work with the firm as it adopts Claude and Claude Code.
